The On Cloudventure has an extremely distinctive sole, called CloudTec. It looks like tiny bubbles under the sole of the shoe, that make you feel as though you’re running on clouds. I didn’t think the shoes felt softer than EVA, and if I, a small woman, can compress these tiny bubbles while I’m running, CloudTec is unlikely to offer much support if you weigh 180 or 200 pounds. They also trap dirt, which I then track all over my kitchen. But they’re also low-profile, lightweight, and feel like climbing shoes, which means they’re are a good option for hiking. And for what it’s worth, I’ve also seen these shoes on a lot of people walking in and out of Orangetheory.
