E3, the annual video game trade show, is a tidal wave of news and trailers for upcoming games. It might still be virtual this year due to the pandemic, but we’re seeing more game sales in the wake of these announcements than ever before. Microsoft has its Deals Unlocked sale, Sony has discounts on popular titles, and later this month, we’re likely to see the annual Steam Summer Sale. It’s a great time to pad out your game library and spend time indoors as temperatures rise this summer.

PS4 and PS5 Deals

- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for $30 ($10 off): One of the most non-traditional Assassin’s Creed games, Valhalla puts you in the boots of a Viking warrior that travels across the beautiful but divided kingdoms of Saxon England.
- Borderlands 3 Next Level Bundle for $47 ($23 off): The third entry in the Borderlands series is every bit as addictive as its predecessors. Shoot and loot your way across an alien planet and gather thousands of different weapons along the way.
- Mortal Kombat X for $12 ($8 off): After playing the latest Mortal Kombat, all I could think about was going back and replaying the previous entry. Nothing makes a better double feature than Mortal Kombat X followed by Mortal Kombat 11.
- Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition for $35 ($15 off): It’s a full remake of one of the most influential survival horror games ever made. If you’re a fan of limping down a dark hallway that may or may not be full of zombies, this game is for you.
- Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for $15 ($5 off): The hotly anticipated sequel is just around the corner, but the original is still an absolute blast to play. It’s gorgeous, lavishly detailed from top to bottom, and features memorable characters and locales. Plus robot dinosaurs.
