The Best Electric Toothbrush is Half Off ($20) for Prime Day
The Colgate Hum has all the best features of a vibrating brush. Its buzz-worthy discount likely ends tonight….
Our final update: Prime Day has ended. If you’re sale hunting, we’ve collected the best Prime Day deals still available (as of June 23). As always, we hope we helped you sift through the sales madness and find great products. Check our Buying Guides for the latest recommendations.
We’ve scoured Amazon for the absolute best Prime Day deals, and this is one of the deals that WIRED staffers texted their friends and family members about. The Colgate Hum is the best electric toothbrush we’ve tested, and the battery-powered version is down to just $20 at Amazon when you clip the on-page coupon. (The full discount will show during checkout.)
Like many Prime Day discounts, this deal is only available to Prime members. You can sign up for a free 30-day trial here, but don’t forget to cancel if you don’t want it.

Shopping on Prime Day has been likened to rummaging through a yard sale. You sift through boxes of dated clothes and browse tables full of dusty books in the hopes of finding that vintage Beanie Baby or solid silver barware set. Consider this electric toothbrush to be a hidden gem—a truly stellar needle in a haystack.
The Colgate Hum (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is already pretty affordable. That’s part of why we like it so much. Despite having a smartphone app, intelligent hygiene tracking, an attractive aesthetic, and cheap replacement heads, it’s usually only $65—or $80 for the rechargeable version. That’s much less than similar models from other brands. We’ve swooned over infrequent price drops to $50 for the rechargeable model (one of those infrequent price drops is happening now), but $20 for the AAA-battery-powered version is the kind of bonkers-level discount that makes these shopping holidays exciting. The discount will likely end when Prime Day does at midnight Pacific time tonight.
Not everybody needs a smart toothbrush, but you’re supposed to replace your teeth-cleaning tools every three months or so. If you’ve been pondering about making the switch to an electric version, this is a good time to do it.
