35 Relaxing Black Friday Beauty and Self-Care Deals
Can your home use some calming vibes? Is your frizzy hair desperate for some love? We found the best deals to…
Alleyoop (Discount Added at Checkout)
This is the same price we saw during Cyber Week last year, and the rest of the site is 20 percent off too. WIRED reviewer Louryn Strampe was impressed by this little makeup tool. It combines eyeliner, lip liner, brow pencil, and highlighter in a design reminiscent of those multi-color pens from elementary school. All the options are intended to make self-care and beauty fun but fast, like the 4-in-1 makeup brush and the blush, bronzer, and highlighter stacked compact.
Kinship (Discount Added at Checkout)
Many WIRED staffers are devoted followers of this SPF. It makes you look glowy, doesn’t leave a white cast, and feels super light on your skin so you’ll actually want to wear it. I haven’t tried other Kinship products yet, but I like this so much that I’ll probably pick up a few more things now that everything is 20 percent off.
We all want what we don’t have. In my case, that’s cute freckles. Thankfully there are countless faux freckle products and DIY hacks out there. Freck is the best one I’ve tried, and a few other WIRED staffers are fans too. Just create a few dots, tap it out with your finger, and redistribute the leftover product to the rest of your face. No one will know they’re fake unless they’re really studying you. The price has gone down since more options became available. You can opt for the XL bottle or the Noir shade, each discounted to $20 ($8 off).
Olive and June (Use HAPPY25 at Checkout)
I was impressed by the Olive and June Mani Kit I tried during quarantine, and think they’re worth it for anyone who wants to step up their home manicures. There are a few sets available, but the Weekender comes with cuticle serum, a nail file, a buffer, clippers, a plush polish remover, a thin nail brush, hand serum, polish, and the brand’s universal bottle handle, top coat, fast drying drops, and star nail stickers. It would cost significantly more if you got everything individually, and I like the actual products.
Apparel Deals

Girlfriend Collective (Discount Added at Checkout)
I could not understand the appeal of pricey leggings until I tried these. They are super high-waisted, feel so slinky and comfortable on, and are tight without making you want to rip them off. They’re also made of plastic bottles and recycled polyester. I pair mine with the matching Paloma Racerback Bra, which is also discounted to $29 ($13 off).
Kiriko (Use KANSHA2021 at Checkout)
Everything at independent boutique Kiriko is now 20 percent off. They include a wide variety of apparel, kitchenware, and wellness products, but our pick are their versatile handkerchiefs.
I tried Adidas’s period-proof shorts and loved them. These tights are comfortable to wear while you work out or just lounge around. The company says these are made for backup and you should still use a tampon, pad, or cup, but I found the shorts enough for light days. Just throw them in the washing machine after.
Proof (Use WIRED25 at Checkout)
This company makes some of my favorite pairs of period underwear. If you’re trying to reduce single-use plastics, reusable period underwear is a great place to start.
Subscription Box Deals
I love subscription boxes for gifting someone else or myself. You get at least one or two months of surprises at your door, perfectly curated to your interests.
Horti (Enter GREENTHUMB at Checkout)
Whether you want to add greenery to your own home or gift someone else plants, Horti makes it easy with a monthly subscription. Each box comes with the plant carefully wrapped, a puck of potting soil (soak it in water for it to expand), and care instructions. There are pet-friendly and beginner plant options.
You read the price right. This deal gets you your first month completely free. If you want two bags to start, you’ll pay about $13 with the deal. A coffee subscription is great for connoisseurs and novices alike, and Atlas is one of our favorites. You’ll get single-origin beans that come from all over the world and are roasted by Atlas in Austin, Texas. You can choose between light-to-medium or medium-to-dark roasts or opt for both.
Bokksu (Use BF2021 at Checkout)
If you love Japanese snacks, Bokksu is one of many themed subscriptions, with each box revolving around a different region in Japan. The first box’s theme is the country’s seasons. For more options, check out our guide to the Best Snack Subscription Boxes.
Oral Care Deals
Oral care is self-care. Brushing your teeth might not be the day’s most fun activity, but you have to admit you feel a little more put together with fresh breath, don’t you?
This is one of our favorite electric toothbrushes. It’s cheap, light, and small, and while it’s not the most powerful brush I’ve ever tried, it offers just enough vibrations to aid in your cleaning. This is the rechargeable version, but the AAA battery-operated one is also on sale for $15 ($10 off).
The small but mighty Hum is our overall favorite electric toothbrush (9/10, WIRED Recommends). It’s affordable and beats out the Philips in cleaning power. It’s small, so you can scrub your entire tongue and those hard-to-reach back teeth without issue, plus there’s an app if you want to track your habits. The new Hum Smart Rhythm is cheaper (and also discounted this week). It’s battery-powered and has two cleaning modes versus the regular Hum’s three. It has less cleaning power, but it would be good for kids or someone who wants to try an electric brush for the first time.
