The refugees minister, Lord Harrington, has told the Daily Telegraph he believes monthly payments to families hosting Ukrainian refugees should double. He has asked the Treasury to increase the amount from £350 to £700 because of concerns some households might not be able to carry on helping out because of rising energy bills.
