Apple’s New Year sale in Japan once again provides a limited edition AirTag to iPhone buyers, as well as a free Apple gift card.

Like other retailers in the country, Apple marks the new year in Japan with a big sale. As part of the tradition, customers can secure themselves a gift card, and if they buy an iPhone, a specially-engraved AirTag.
Running from January 2nd to January 5th, Apple Japan will provide a gift card worth up to 38,000 yen ($250) to buyers of Apple products from the store. The value changes depending on the product and specification.
