Catherine O’Hara, known for her work in films such as “Home Alone” and “Beetlejuice,” as well as series like “Schitt’s Creek” and Apple TV’s “The Studio,” has passed away.

O’Hara, a prolific actor on screens both big and small, died on January 30. During her career, she acted in more than 50 films and more than 30 films.
She was widely known for her roles as family matriarch Kate McCallister in “Home Alone” and the dramatic, eccentric Moira Rose in “Schitt’s Creek.” Her penultimate role was in Apple TV comedy series “The Studio” as Patty Leigh — she also provided voice work for Apple TV’s since-cancelled animated series “Central Park.”
