The welterweight world titlists look to unify two belts in their meeting at Staples Center Saturday night….
Spence vs. Porter will be the 11th unification fight in welterweight history, according to the ESPN Stats and Information team. When looking back at some of the other 10 unification fights among welterweights we’ll find some of the biggest in boxing history, such as: Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Thomas Hearns 1 in 1981 (Leonard won by TKO in 14th round), Felix Trinidad vs. Oscar De La Hoya in 1999 (Trinidad won by majority decision), Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao in 2015 (Mayweather won by unanimous decision).
