The expected second-generation Apple Studio Display is once more predicted to feature an updated 120Hz ProMotion display, with new code leaks backing up previous claims.
Apple Studio Display
Back in February 2025, screen analyst Ross Young claimed that Apple would release its first-ever update to the Studio Display in late 2025. Young was specific that there would be a backlighting improvement, but also said ProMotion might be coming.
Then in August 2025, a new claim based on leaked code backed up the claim that a revised Studio Display is coming. That leak, though, also included references to what might be a different display altogether.
